I am a Chicago-based editor, colorist, writer, and producer with a burning curiosity about all things art. From the cornfields of Champaign IL, I first fell in love with filmmaking as the designated editor on my cousins’ contrived mockumentary narratives, piecing together short films from hours of improvised footage and explosions ripped off of YouTube. Each time we shot something, I got a little more ambitious with the computer, and brick-by-brick built out a post-production toolkit that led me to film school at Northwestern University. I now work as an all-around post-production yes-woman, having had the pleasure of working on all sorts of different film projects from independent feature films to broadcast advertisements. In keeping with my childhood, satire and off-beat dramedy have emerged as my primary genres.

Taking an idea from your head and putting it into other peoples’ heads is a unique and incredible process however it exists - drawing, pretending, sculpting, spray-painting, dancing, you name it. Art is the transfer of an idea from one head to the next, however you have to do it. During that transfer, ideas evolve - they adjust to their medium, transform through setbacks, and gain complexity and meaning along the way. Filmmaking is unique because it’s so collaborative - it requires one million transfers into one million heads before the film is even finished. Every collaborator adds a piece of themself to the film. This choir of contributions is what I love most about movies, and it’s why I love to work on teams - to see an idea grow not just upward, but outward. As a filmmaker in any role, I prioritize collaboration, communication, and genuine awe for what cool stuff we can accomplish when we work together.
